AIESECAIESEC

AIESEC is the world's largest student-run organization, focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development. AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to travel and gain international work experience, by becoming global change agents and developing the experiences and skills that are influential to society business's needs.

As president, I presided over meetings and functions of the San Jose State University chapter. I traveled to conferences and training sessions to coordinate with other AIESEC leaders and helped create leadership development programs and growth strategies for AIESEC United States. During my term, the San Jose State chapter saw an increase in membership and won the national Impact Award for Innovation in Leadership Development.

As a current alumnus, I provide mentorship and foster leadership in an effort to enhance the growth and quality of AIESEC's program today.

New Global CitizensNew Global Citizens (NGC)

New Global Citizens (NGC) provides high school students with the opportunity to become engaged global citizens who embrace their critical role as leaders, philanthropists, and change agents. NGC teams focus on the challenges addressed in the 8 UN Millennium Development Goals (extreme poverty, universal primary education, gender equality, child mortality, maternal health, HIV/AIDS and other diseases, environmental sustainability, and sustainable local economies).

I participated in the expansion of NGC in California and oversaw the initial establishment of the organization in high schools throughout the Santa Clara County. I mentored a group of 12 high school students by creating and executing community projects that fostered their activism and empowered life-long advocates of sustainable global change.
